Local Scene

How many of you guys support your local scene? im very active in my scene by going to shows all the time. here is a pic from the show at gilman in berekely on friday. the band is the unseen(i know they are not a local band but its a cool pic i took)

Gilman is a very famous scene.

I goto shows every once in a while. There arnt very many good bands around here, but theres a couple that i dont mind seeing. Usually theyll team up with a bigger act on tour and those are fun, but seeing the same not so great bands over and over again gets a little old, at least to me.

Eugene has a nice hardcore scene... going to a show tonight... I'll tell you about it afterwards.

the bay area hardcore scene is getting huge. gilman has more hardcore shows than punk now but its all good i enjoy a little hardcore everynow and then. but all in all the bay has a good scene for what ever music you are into

i think hardcore is a huge fad right now. the same thing is going on here. most the punk/ska bands turned either completely into hardcore or into some kind of mixture. I too enjoy it on occasion, but I miss alot of the ska/punk bands too.

Greg T, i feel the same way as you. im a huge ska/punk fan. the ska scene is really good here, the suburban legends are playing in oakland on saturday. i cant wait til my band starts playing shows, then the scene will be awesome

Where I live, Melbourne, probably has the dopest local hip-hop scene in Australia. Very proud of it, I get out and support for sure.
