That's actually a problem in Austin. They act as if tasers are non-lethal and use it as a first resort. However, tasers being non-lethal is still being disputed, and I believe (non 100% sure) that some of the latest models are actually powerful enough to kill people. Thank goodness my tax money is buying those same models for our police force....
