stompin- if you have never seen them.. you are in for a treat.. regardless of who's now playing guitar. the lot scene before is a good time... PM me and i'll hook you up w/ a few shows if you want'em. i guess i been going to shows since the early 90's, was going to see them in europe untill the 9/11 thing and the tour was canceled.. i had room and flights booked to amsterdam, the show was at the paradiso, an old church turned into a music hall.... then for their next attempt to the euro tour mikey got cancer and they canceled again.... i guess i was not destined to see panic abroad Sad

jonesie- i wish i could have seen some of the really good dead shows... i didn't even go see them when i was in college which i deeply regret... but it was such the thing to do and all these folks that had nothing more than the american beauty cd were going... i just didn't want to be a rookie, w/ a bunch a rookies if you get my drift... now i wish i'd just gone to the show. at any rate.. sci, is a pretty good band, i liked their older stuff '99 and '00 a lot more than i due the current sound as it has sorta gone the way that phish was... maybe they're trying to bridge that gap and pick up some of the phishheads that have no tour to go on.....

I miss Jerry - the whole world misses Jerry whether they know it or not. I saw them about twenty times. Seattle, Eugene, San Francisco, Oakland, Las Vegas, Ventura. There was nothing better than a road trip to see a show. Best ever for me was a TRIP to Oakland for the year end shows. It was like December 21, 22, & 23rd and I got into all three shows - made Christmas back at my parents house a slight let down. Your post brings back a flood of memories of places and friends - Fire on the Mountain brothers
