I would say a 4 ch 1000 watts max for the 6.5s and the 6x9s(run them off of one amp

then a 1200 watt 2 ch amp for the subs,

but if your asking this might I assume you are going to try and install it your self ???

if thats the case, merely by asking these questions it tells me that you lack the nessicary knowledge to do so, go to circuit city, they warranty all installs, or at least get some body that reall yknows what they are doing

headhuntermx4, yeah you could get away with less, but the less hard an amp has to work the longer it lives(within reason of course, 900watts to a 50 watt speaker will pop no matter what)

actually my dad installs systems extremly well along with some of the people at malibu i know who install the boat systems. i wasnt gonna install it my self i just needed the information.

headhunter ya he is a good friend. he also gave my cousin a pair f the same 6x9's. everything is still in the boxes with price tags too. he got all of these speakers from a friend who was jus gonna toss em but my friend said he knew some people who could use em and the dude was like ok.

a cousin of mine told me i dont need an amp to run the 6x9's and the 6 1/2's. he said that the deck could run them on its on. i called circuit city but they said i would have to bring everything in to see it.

so anyone wanna help a poor white kid out? Wink

what kind of truck? sorry if i missed that...

i'd have to recommend selling the 6x9 and the 61/2 and get some seperates and an electronic crossover... your not going to need the bass from either of them if you have good 12's and a well built box for them.... btw, if you drop to 2 ohms... the amps going to run way hotter... i did it when i had my system too.. just fyi..

you might trycoustic amps... i always liked them for the money... great bang for the buck... or boom i should say...

the truck is an '87 chevy silverado longbed.

the 6x9's and 6 1/2's wouldnt be used for the bass.
