I think the computer is kinda cool. Not too powerful, but nice for your avereage internet, email word processing user, and cheap too.

I dont know about the ipod though. Sure its small and stuff, but 30 times more space for three times the money just doesnt seem worth it. But i guess some care more about size and whatnot then space.

Your opinions?

Hopefully the new Mac mini will help more users switch. I switched about 2 years ago and will never go back, and now there is no excuse for not moving to a more stable and more secure operating system.

Fluid, its all about what programs you have installed onto your computer. my Dell at home is cluttered as F and it gets all messed up every now and again, but my comp at school has yet to crash (and i use premere pro and photoshop quite frequently).

hopefully consumers will make educated decisions instead of buying a mac simply because it looks cool and "simplistic."

Im not even going to get into the debate but it is a proven fact by many PC mags that the Apple OS is much more stable than Winblows... so unless you are running a unix or linux pc your opperating is not anywhere near as stable as a mac os.

Most people make the ignorant statment that a Mac is a "pretty" machine and is based on looks... when if you look at the working world ie: people who actually use thier machines for something other than gaming or surfing the net, a Apple machine will dominate every time...

Scott you say you use premier and photoshop quite often? I would love to see your PC or any other PC for that matter do real time rendering of video or photo, unless you compare a dual xeon PC vs. a imac. And dont try to tell me that a PC can out perform a Mac when it comes to audio, graphics or video it wont happen.

I have worked in audio and video for about 5 years went to Fullsail for school and Ai in LA, i have used PC's running Pro Tools and Avid, and i have used Mac FCP and Protools systems... I have been there and done that when it comes to the Mac vs. PC world and well i own a Mac. Plain and simple a Apple machine will run circles around a PC. UNLESS YOU ARE PLAYING GAMES.. thats all a pc is really good for.

and as far as the "simplistic" comment... Apple OS is designed the way Bill Gates wishes he would of gone. Maybe he should of stayed in school...

Im not trying to call you out or start a flame session... i just think that people should really keep thier opinions to themselves unless they have really had the oppertunity to really test both machines in a real life enviroment instead of just listening to what people say or what they hear.

If more people would give Mac's a chance they would learn that thier Winblows machine is just plain pathetic.

windows is pretty poorly done. and bill gates does wish it was more like mac os. but bill gates sucks at life.
ive used quite a few macs and id rather use a crappy dell anyday. i've photoshopped on g5's and they glitch up more than mediocre windows pc's ive used. i'd honestly rather use ms paint.
and i think the os is difficult to use for me and is oversimplified. it's hard to do things that are as simple as right clicking on pc, and it's difficult to customize and work out problems.

mac is fine for the point and click user, but not for anyone who really wants to use the system.

not to mention they're overpriced.

the little ipod is stupid i thin, just make an investment and buy an Ipod. I got a 40 gig and have every CD i own on it w/o any compression.

The mini mac looks dope. I would buy that for sure.
