|
|
| I went to performance today and checked out the bi levels. I really want to ride one, but just from looking at it I wonder about a lot of stuff. It felt really heavy, and will the bolts on the bottom scratch up rails at odub? I wouldnt be surprised if they said you couldnt ride it there. It also seemed really wide. I still want to demo one, but the last thing I wonder about is that its wood.. and it WILL get water logged... Where as if I get an integ... it wont ever get water logged... |

| I dont understand why people are always doggin cassette for makin their skates out of wood. And sayin it will get water logged is a bit premature. I've been riding cassette for a while and never had that problem. Neither has anyone I know. Being wide could be a plus. More surface area top and bottom will definately help. And being heavier doesnt mean anything either. If you ever ridden an old skool skatebaord and compared it to a so called new skool deck ( about 7.75 inche wide) you would realize that you can do the same tricks on both decks, even tho one is wider and heavier. Its all about personal taste. Now I'm not sayin integrity is bad, I'm just bringing a different perspective to everyones posts. Some of you need to grow up. Wakeskating is all about riding and chilling with your friends, not about which board company you think sucks. |

MWP, take it easy. if you want to ride a Vision or a Lance Mountain it's up to you, I like my 7.75. i do miss my old purple Phillips (RIP). as far as the bi-level goes, if vance is worried about delam on a cassette i think he can voice that. very few people on this site ever have anything bad to say about cassette. lastly i am definately one of the people who need to "grow up." _________________ www.unicornofthesea.com |

| I wasnt talking about Vance or AlexXx in particular, Im just sayin that people should be happy that there are so many advancements for the sport. People shouldnt just focus on the negatives. And im not sayin its any of you, but alot of posts that i read are bashing one board company or another. Sorry, I dont post alot but when I do, I have a lot to say. |

MWP,
I'm not trying to bash anyone here. I was just giving my opinion on the board, from what I saw with my own eyes, and from feeling the board those were my opnions. I mean imagine how heavy that thing is going to be if it gets water logged? I like Cassette and I'll always support rider owned companies till the end. I think the bi-levels going to be the best thing thats ever happened to wakeskating, lets just see how the first year of it goes. |

Or express your concerns to cassette and see if they'll change the type of screws they use. I don't think it would be that hard to change... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

so does anyone know why Cassette didn't just counter sink the screws top and bottom? i thought the ones at surf expo were just like "mock ups" for the show. i didn't realise that the production ones were going to be the same.
maybe it's todo with making it weaker or something? |

| is the board thick enough to counter sink them? From pictures, it seems that if they did, it would be very thin in spots and may lead to cracking. |

Can't you all just take out the screws they give you, and put in flat head screws similar to a skateboard? This problem is not that complicated... countersink or change the screws, or both _________________ www.sattelyte.com
