what does everyone see happening with wakeskating in the next few years. not so much along the lines of tricks as much as the pro tour and how big and any of that kind of stuff _________________ P.S.... this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated |

I do think it will grow a little bit in the next couple years. But wakeskating cant really get much bigger than wakeboarding because not everybody has the money and time to do it. With a sport like skateboarding all you need is 100 bucks and youre set. But wakeskating takes alot of money unless you catch rides on other peoples boats like me. But think about most people dont have access to a bodie of water. But just about everybody has access to some concrete. Man i must be bored because i just wrote alot. _________________ HI |

I could care less about contests. I think board shapes are going to be the biggest changes in the next few years |

Board shapes and materials, plus I think it will blow up in the media and get a lot more coverage - as good or bad as that may be. Eventually it can get bigger than wakeboarding, as it's so much more accessible. _________________

i dont think the board shapes can't get too much smaller, or at least skinnier cause you have to keep your foot from handing over the edge. I think the fin placement will change and also the matierials the board is make of. The board also need to be lighter to do more technical skate-like tricks. |

Boards can't be too light or else they won't stay under your feet. However, I think mutiny has some great ideas about weight distribution....
wakesk8r9610, why do you think wakeskates will look like the parks board? I'm not trying to challenge you, but I'm curious as to where you're coming from... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

They should do that just make like a prototype model and give it to a pro and see what they can do and how they go. _________________ Llamas are better then Alpacas

Someone out there actually has a carbon fiber wakeskate and it is basically indestructable. He has done a lot of stuff to it (including running it over with his truck) and it still works. They would never be affordable, though, because they'd cost around 500.00 (somewhere around there, I can't remember anymore). ANyway, it has been done by a guy that has some great ideas and actually frequents the board..... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I think the sport will grow extremely over the next few years. As far as boards Mutiny is far more advanced that everyone else. So look for mfgs to take the mutiny boards and try and copy them. _________________ Jaysin Smith
