Help available for 'drunken diallers'

LMAO with this one...I have drunken dialed so many times. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

With Christmas parties in full swing for millions of people around Australia, a mobile phone company has launched a unique new service to stop people from making phone calls they may later regret.

Virgin mobile says it’s “dialing under the influence” service will prevent incoherent calls to ex-partners, current partners or bosses.

A recent survey by the company of more than 400 people found that 95 percent made phone calls after a drinking session, with 30 percent of calls going to exes and 19 percent to current partners.

The survey also found that the morning after more people will first reach for their mobile phone to check who they had dialled (55%) instead of reaching for painkillers (8%). More than half those surveyed also said they made up to three calls per night.

Virgin says with the new service, people will simply dial a number followed by the phone number they don’t want to call, effectively blacklisting it until six o’clock the following morning.

The new service begins on December 1, just in time for the silly season.

Wow....did they list a price for that? I am curious to see how much money they are making off of drunks.

There is also a service that will call you if you want to get away from a bad date, meeting, etc.

thats the best when you wake up hung over and you have to look at your phone to see who you actually called. Then you remember half the stuff you said when you talk to them the next day.

My friends punk'd me by leaving an elaborate message saying that they were "Rob", the team manager of Oakley and they said to call back at that number. When I called it said something like "Welcome to the New York City Rejection line. We regret to inform you, that you have officially been rejected" I then checked the number that called and it was funny. I definitely recommend using this number for pranks like this Laughing

Nick Taylor, dave is talking about a different service. if you call a certain number, it will call you back during a certain time frame designated by you when you call and generate an excuse for you to leave (mom got in car accident, etc).

and i think that rejection line is the same 7 digits with a different area code for each of the metropolitan areas in the USA.

why i know this much about being reject is beyond me. Laughing
