Anyone know about what the minimum depth to wakeskate is? theres a piece of dock walkway sitting in the water about water level that i want to attempt to ollie. It's ankle deep or so around the walkway and i dont know if its deep enough to ride in.

Incase you were wondering, i plan on using a PWC to pull me. The path i plan on taking will take me out in to the middle of the lake.

I have ridden in as little as six inches, but you'll have to go no fins, and it better be a pretty minor ollie or you'll bottom out

yea, you could ride in pretty shallow water, but when you ollie is when there would be a problem, seeing as you are pushing the board deeper into the water.

I don't think ollieing a dock in ankle deep is good. I once tried to ollie a walkway between marshes on a jet ski, I bounced for my ollie hit the bottom and slid into the dock and it cracked some panel. Be careful!

You'll be fine. I've rode in soaked grass that gets deeper into a few inches then around 8. Ankle will be fine, just lean back. We had a truck though, not a PWC, so there was a lot more power to start than on a PWC. Might be hard to get up to speed, but stay back on the board. Easiest if you are almost sitting on your back foot....but you'll be fine.

Remember, when you land you move a bit of water from the impact.
