That was the best 30 mins of television I have ever seen. What a great representation for wake skating. Danny Ray Hampson Kills it. From his riding to how humble he is. Awesome! _________________ Bindings? We don't need no freaking bindings.... |

So did anyone record this at all? I tried but my tuner wasn't on, so i have a half hour of a message bouncing around on my tv screen. I am a master at this kind of fail. DAMMIT! That is me shouting. I was really excited to see it.
Anyway, I need to see this. I hope they sell it on itunes or something. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

electricsnow, ya I got it on the dvr but you gotta come down to Watauga to watch it. It's gonna get posted on alliance at some point. it's a really interesting piece talks a lot about the cassette team and the break up and then his injuries. The whole thing is cool but there's only about 45seconds of recent wakeskating from danny at the very end. _________________ http://www.elevatedclothingco.com/ |

JCB_Mutiny, i'm definitely ok with the vintage footage. that stuff gets me the most pumped! I guess i will have to wait for it to show up on alliance. I was so excited for it!
The mangrove situation is nuts...him hanging from the trees? I never knew it was THAT bad, but of course it wasn't good seeing him in a neck brace. Alliance had a video from his first day back, and i wish it was online somewhere. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Jake S, wow I never knew that thanks for sharing. Either way he kills it, and the abc thing was so rad and nostalgic

got goose bumps watching that trailer, made me remember all the dudes i used to look up to in the cassette days when i was trying to land back bigs on my LF flat 42 incher and kickies on my 2004 integ team back behind my lil 13 ft whaler on the lox river riding ever day...... crazy to think how long we have all bee shredding and how long we have been frequenting this forums together. How we have all grown as riding and individuals. I had that metro west gap pic on my desk top for like years at a time.... feeling super nostalgic right now LOL |

I still remember seeing a Casette in the Overtons Catalog for the first time after my buddy took me out to ride a cut LF squirt with fwt pads on it. I was like obsessed and my parents would not buy me one. Then we sold our boat and I lost touch with it until I met a guy in Carlsbad who said his buddy was bring down a winch. Zak Stone pulled me on that hive and I got to watch Frye and Reed Watson ride a rail. From then on I have been mesmerized. |
