will they ever look good on a wakeskate?

I would love to see a front feeble that is tweaked out like a skateboard, but I'm not sure if lock in fins really will let it happen without some kind of axle...

I feel no, but I used to think the same about blunts, thought they would always look like old ugly over the rail tail slides...and just look at remote Philippines vid and what Clem is throwin out... Awesome.

So we'll see....but right now I say no lol plus they're a little different than blunts too....for feebles/smiths, the wheels make it look locked...on a wakeskate we're just gonna see an angled board :/

Someone prove me wrong!

^that be the one^
I don't think you need an axle. It's more about the wheel/fin and being able to hang the skate from it so you can dip that nose. As all things have, this will only look better and better the more people do them

Matt Hooker had some cool looking crooks.

I'm all for crooks, smiths, and feebles in wakeskating. But I think skinny rails are needed.

I agree.....any idea why cable parks generally do not have skinny rails??? I say generally because the couple cables I have been too do not have them.

Im sure it has to do with liability, and lets face it, its a ton easier to get hurt on a standard rail than it is on a wide box.

i feel like i would love to see a smith on a ledge just as much as on a rail. why do you think it has to be on a skinny rail?

senza wake, i think he was just saying it would be sweet on a skinny rail because you could latch on with the fin and might produce more of an actual "locked in" slide.

This is why you don't see skinny rails. Logan got his leg stuck on one side of the rail and body went to the other side. I have a picture at home with is bone protruding from the skin.

Ryan was doing them a few years ago on double trex. Definitely doable on a ledge/box.

Its all in the hips yeahhhhhhh, It's all in the hips. *Chubbs Quote*

I dont think liability would be an issue. Most if not all mountains with advanced parks for snowboarding have skinny rails, usually with plywood or plexiglass in the middle to so you wont get tangled if you botch it. Effectively the same result as a box with sides with a higher level of difficulty.

For a long time, I refused to recognize wakeskate smiths & feebles without a bar, because most of the ones I'd seen didn't look right or give the same feel (mostly my own), but now I'm more relaxed on the idea that they can be done right on a wakeskate with a good set of nugs... Fortenberry's smiths are sick, and I always liked that one BS feeble that I got back in '09 that Mitch filmed.
