I have a general need for a discussion of all opinions on this one guys.
I hunted down a cougar after selling mine to Robsmaze. I have loved and loved that board. Until Gregeo hooked it up with the simplex. I also nabbed the orange lipsticks from him. I went to Terminus saturday and had my way with that new Unit 5 stair. So freaking fun. I really want to get these lipsticks on but I'm nervous about drilling the cougar.
I have a variety of bits at my bench. I want to talk hardware. I would think countersinking the top of the deck and using a flat top allen key bolt would be ok. but on these lipsticks idk about having the bolt come through and stick out, or reversing the bolt and having the nut on top would be annoying and ghetto.
What are the thoughts on trying to find some barrel nuts that are long enough? To pair with the Flat top countersunk hex screws. (doing this decreases the diameter of the hardware I can use due to the pre-drilled holes in the lipsticks being 5mm)
What about not drilling the cougar, and grabbing something Id care less about if anything went wrong?
get your hands on a integ 2012 or 13 and slap them lipsticks in without messin the board up. I wish other companies did this so I could have just one board for everything
senza wake I'm sure it will happen. But with the cougar and the Simplex chillin I doubt Ill need a new one anytime soon. Also dont know how I would do without the weight of the simplex, but more importantly I need to get an OAK back in the quiver, along with one of those new byerly skates.
