Is the flick done with the back foot or both feet. What is the foot position for this trick? Are there any tips that helped you guys learn this trick? |

I think they are a lot like a skateboard , I throw most of it if not all of it with my backfoot and just guide it with my front. Keep that handle in close , lean back just a little bit , and scoop/throw it out in front of you with your backfoot.
I think a lot of people starting to wakeskate forget that they are moving 20+ mph and when you do a trick and leave the board, it's going to want to fall behind you, always keep in mind to throw that sucker out in front of you and give you time to catch up to it _________________ www.jimizwakenskate.com

watch Nick Taylors part in Aquafrolics, he does one at the beginning of his part, has a nice camera shot on it, i swear if you just mentally try to copy his position and procedure on that move it will become one of your favorite tricks. it did for me, great go-to trick that still feels awesome everytime. |

its a front 3 shuv but it will help: http://youtu.be/4XKid1ed2O4
pay attention to foot position, that's the most important part when learning something new for me.
I have my back foot heel hanging off just about an inch, and my front foot toes are flush with the toeside edge of my board.
I heard or read somewhere your back foot is similar to kicking a soccer ball which makes sense when throwing these. I do very little with my front foot, maybe just guide it by keeping the board level. good luck these are one of my favorite tricks and when I can really pop them high they feel soooo good. |

One thing i started doing this summer is doing everything off of my forefoot (or whatever-not my heel). All of my ollie power or trick initiation comes from there. So with my front shuvs, i place my toes and forefoot just to the side of my fin (when standing on the board, my foot is just behind the fin, going front to back--not side to side). i slam my foot down and wait just a bit before i kick my foot forward--perpendicular to my line of travel. After that it's auto pilot. I've for sure kicked it too far forward and done the splits, so becareful for that.
Someone said check out nick in aquafrolics. I would also highly recommend that. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

What helped me like -LoGiK- said is do it like a skateboard and I really started doing them well on a skateboard after seeing this part of this video.

Now on wakeskate I don't exaggerate the back foot as bad but I do still put it in that pocket. Also I find the widest stance possible helps. |

It also helps, in my opinion, to hold off on the scoop for about a few milliseconds. Think ollie first, then scoop. |
