I was about to get the Nick Talor 38.5 wakeskate on sale but marine products didn't have it. They have a liquid force Tao 39 on sale at a great price. Which wakeskate would you guys recommend? |

Personally I would go with the remote. Iv'e tried the Tao and didn't like it all. It had the least amount of pop Iv'e ever ridden. Whereas the remote nt is just about the most poppy boards I've ever been on. A friend of mine recently traded his Tao on a remote. I know some people on here might argue otherwise, but thats been my experience. _________________ ---------------------------

jazzbox, go with the tao, although they are both pretty similar, the tao feels a bit more substantial under your feet while u ride.
11RANDOMNESS, u cant really compare a remote to those two boards... its basically a different class..... |

I'd get the TAO. I've rode it and my brother has the NT and I feel like the NT super small, and if I cracked the thicker LEO remote in under a season I feel like I could do the same to the NT. But the Tao was beefy for the size and build. That encasement of the enitre board reminds me of a build that MANY companies have been trying to replicate (some only on the bottom, the TAO all over) I would like to get one to ride, but I am currently perusing other decks to fill the gaps in the quiver. I'm sure I'll pick up a Tao at some point. _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

jazzbox, I've rode both numerous times and they are both very different boards in most aspects. It really depends on what you're looking for in a board. What do you currently ride and what do you like/dislike about it.
Personally I would recommend a Remote over the Tao every time. I’m looking to get a 39.5 for myself because I felt the 38.5 was a little too short and lightweight for me (It’s made with one less ply than the others).
Remotes are real poppy boards, and the rocker shape is super smooth and fun. I love the feel of wood boards they are more lively under your feet. It’s one of the most solid wood construction boards I’ve ever seen and they hold up really well taking a beating at the park and rails.
The Tao seemed thin to me and doesn’t have as much pop as a lot of boards I’ve rode. The construction is solid and the concave is well defined. It’s kind of a micky mouse board to me, a lot of people like it and ride it, but I’m just not a huge fan of this one. |

Ive ridden both and I chose the 38.5" Remote.
I actually thought the Tao had a much more snappy and abrupt pop than the Remote. I was surprised when people were saying the opposite. The Tao also seems like it will outlast a Remote.
I like both boards a lot, but I just love the feeling of the Remote. They are so smooth and just making riding a little more fun to me. |
