|
|
I want to start trying lipslides on the flat box at my local cable, but want to know the best way to approach it.
Should I edge out towards the box, flatten off while parallel to the box and then ollie into it?
or
Should I edge out to it and ollie into it at an angle?
Ive been watching a lot of videos and seems like guys ollie onto it from an angle, but I dont know if that would make it harder to stay on it the whole way. It seems like I would just slide off to the outside.
Ive just been timid with this trick because I really dont want to not get the tail up and do the splits on the box.
Ive done lipslides onto inclines and jibbed the very end of super low flat bars (shouldnt even count), but Im finally going to step it up.
Any tips would help. Thanks |

i do it cutting on an edge but it really depends on how u feel comfortable, most importantly, pop really early and turn onto it as late as possible so ur tail doesnt catch. hardest thing is to comit to it. hope this helps bro _________________ shred till ur dead |

This makes a lot of sense b/c I do t/s i/o frontside 180s on edge the same way, just never thought about it being the basicly the same as how i would approach a lipslide.
wakemitch, good luck and let us know how it goes! |

I tried a couple yesterday and they are pretty intimidating. The first couple I popped too late and clipped the rail and then the last time I only did a 5050 and slipped off. I'll try more next week. |

wakemitch, i edge into the whole way, not a super hard edge but a nice steady one. You should try em on the long flat at wake island from the front first. And once your comfortable hit it from the side mitch! _________________ http://www.bigotebros.com/ |
