I'll be up there tomorrow. Hopefully I can find it..
If it put this-

into my gps will it take me there? I don't want to be driving around. _________________ ---------------------------

Anyone have pics of the final setup yet? I'm so excited to see what they've done! (or did I miss a thread?) |

Congrats nick! So radical for him to win and he looks so psyched on the podium. Add in that he was flanked by a pair of pasturas! I can hardly wait to see the video recap from this one!
How funny is it that the dudes who build their own sites win their stops? That's incredible. To see the photos of him on instagram and reading thst he won--i had to smile after our discussions on here about winning builders. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I had such a great time at the Suwannee Pro this year. The place has come a long way and to see it pay off for Nick like that was definitely one of my favorite moments in wakeskating so far. A couple days before the event, we were so stoked/stressed that it was almost here that Nick completely forgot he hadn't ridden in weeks! I think we all forgot that we were still wakeskaters and not full time shovel wielders.
The rail thing was a back and forth for a while. The setup wasn't finished until the day practice started and the day before a bunch of us got together and figured out what we wanted to build until someone suggested the idea of not having one at all. Obviously it seemed unnatural at first but when we started discussing it, we decided that we wanted this stop to be different, like every tour stop is, so we went for the straight double drop. Like it or not, it changed the dynamic of the contest and it brought different riding out of some of our favorite riders.
I can't list all the people who made this possible because there are way too many, but I'd like to thank Nick for letting me be a part of it, and everyone who came out and slung some dirt or manned a shovel, and all of you guys who have been stoked on this project since day one. We couldn't have done it without you! |

I think not having rails made it unique, much in the same way ben had that little land gap at retention. The first drop looks big...i think the size of the second is deceiving. I looked at josh's shot on instagram of nick's backside 180 and that one also looks big. So to see what dudes were throwing down those drops was incredible. There are some nice little vids on instagram under the hashtag suwanneepro.
Very nice work tj! _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
