Reading anything now?
Any recommendations?
I just got back in to reading thanks to my new(ish) tablet and forgot how much I liked it. I make sure to read at least 30 min(usually more) before I fall asleep. I'm becoming a big science/space nerd so I've been leaning towards that stuff since I started reading again.
I'm currently about 3/4 of the way through "Space Chronicles" by Neil deGrasse Tyson. It's an awesome look at space exploration and filled with cool little facts and inspires me to learn more about it all, I never want to put it down. I've got another one of his books (Death by Black Hole) to go to next. He's really great at inspiring and getting you excited about space and using great examples to bring bigger concepts to they layperson.
I also suggest/have recently read:
-Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - Douglass Adams; really wacky, but hilarious. Have read the series a couple of times through.
-A Short History of Nearly Everything - Bill Bryson; Super fun read about a broad history of science.
-Ready Player One - Ernest Cline; A huge 80's nostalgia trip set in the future. Pretty fun but overall I wasn't a big fan. Good for a light read if you're a nerd but the writing is kinda meh.

I loved A Short History of Nearly Everything. Bill Bryson has another book (I'm blowing it on the name) about hiking the Appalachian Trail that's really awesome too.
I finally read the Lord of the Rings this past summer while I was working in Maine, and it's a hefty read but definitely well worth it. Amazing books.
The Pillars of the Earth followed with World Without End by Ken Follett is my favorite book series by far. Very basically it's the story of a town's attempt at building a cathedral, but the depth gone into politics and religious aspects of the construction make it an extremely captivating read.

I highly recommend Ender's Game if you are into space/scifi ish stuff. It's really a great read even if you are not into that stuff.
Some older books that I dig:
1984
The Count of Monte Cristo

I wish that I could get into nonfiction, but it just never holds my attention.

PIRATE, Yeah, the Chomsky book confirmed most of my worries about the way everything has been for the last 60 or 80 years... Very objectively interesting, eye-opening, & a huge bummer at the same time.
electricsnow, I wasn't joking at all! The entire Harry Potter series is amazing... I've read it straight through several times.

Jake S, Me too........However, I fear that Harrison Ford is going to wreck it. Am I the only one who thinks Harrison Ford sucks nowadays. I used to love him in everything.

frankycouplepuphs, I know what you mean. I can't remember much about Graff's relationship with Ender. I also really loved Enders Shadow, so I remember Bean and Ender the most from the story.
