Colorado winch gap, a new one.

I know these guys were riding strapped but the gap was huge and rocks at the landing.. I will only skate it, but I just had surgery so I couldn't skate today. But it was a dope ass gap.

We had to take an hour to dam up the culvert because it was a down sloping culvert so for it to have a startup pool we had to dam the gap 24" deep to get the water up. it was super sketchy. I'll get some pix up soon. We're gonna go back on sunday, then next week when I'm cleared for activities we'll hit it again.

Problem is its in the city of Denver, and it's on Denver water property, and it's a drainage culvert for storm water and snow melt, I imagine if we "perma-dammed" it we would probably never be allowed back...

My plan is 5 bales of hay, and a few trash bags, that way we can be fast, portable, and Denver water can't say we're obstructing flow during high flow times.

Also I wanna take a 5/8"s masonry drill bit and drill into the concrete base of the culvert and throw 12" long sticks of rebar into the holes to brace the hay bales from getting pushed off the edge.

There is no law about being in the water there, but I don't want to get on Denver waters bad side (oddly enough they have more authority than the police when it comes to Denver water right of ways.)
