Have you guys ever heard of this???

Although there is debate over the exact date it started, on November 02, 2000, a person calling themselves Timetravel_0, and later John Titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036.

One of the first things he did was post pictures of his time machine and its operations manual. As the weeks went by, more and more people began questioning him about why he was here, the physics of time travel and his thoughts about our time. He also posted on other forums including the old Art Bell site. In his posts John Titor entertained, angered, frightened and even belittled those who engaged him in conversation.

On March 24, 2001, John Titor told us he would be leaving our time and returning to 2036. After that, he was never heard from again. Speculation and investigation about who John Titor was and why he was online continues to this day.

i heard about some guy claiming time travel. i heard he won the lottery, and made some ridiculous sum of money off the stock market then dissapeared.

i think the 5 0 got him.

hahahah...how could they ever convict him from that...'you are being charged with travelling back in time to play the stick market...how do you plea?'...hahaha...maybe john titor is a pseudonym from Martha Stewart.

well it wouldnt be the five o... it would be the five one.
someone travelling back in time to our present would have about the same effect as a real alien making a public landing on earth. you bet that alien would disappear and get hushed up quick.

but the idea of time travel is pretty dumb in my opinion

I heard about that a while ago, sounds rediculous to me. Pretty cool for an internet rumor though. There is also a company, i'm not sure of the site anymore, but you send them money and they put it into a savings account and they take your name and stuff. Then they say once time travel is possible, they will come back and get you and take you to the future where you money has gained interest and you will be rich. I'll try to find it, its hella wierd.

I found out about this whole John Titor thing almost a year ago, and i thought it was the weirdest thing ever. I started reading into it alot, and if you do a little searching, you'll find entire webpages that try and prove that it is only an elaborate hoax. I guess only time will tell. If they cancel the 2009 Olympics, then maybe we should be concerned.

I looked through the skematics and nowhere could I find the flux capacitor.

THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT IN A DOLORIAN!

but honestly, some people somewhere have not stopped laughing since they cooked this one up. that picture of the computer is definitely a 1980s microwave.

I thought it was interesting but had to many generic statements and built in excuses.

On a good note it helped me waste 2 hours at work today though.

yeah.....dont think it can be true really..due to the fact that all of his 2004 predictions have virtually failed already...however, the amount of effort and creativity that was put into it IS impressive. and it may be just me, but all that crazy sh*t about string theory and quantum gravity theory definately grabbed my attention. i like reading about that stuff.
