you're spinning more than snapping the tail into the water _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

Yeah, I usually try to wait a bit more with the fs shuv...I have a tendancy to rush the trick, so my fs pop is not as great as my backside pop. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Honestly, these spin easier for me than BS shuvs. I tend to just push my back leg strait out and scoop it with my heel and they hit a perfect pop and land where I need them too. If I try him on the TS reentry they spin 3's all day long with ease. I have to remember to barely scoop it for a 180 shuv.
Front foot just comes up and waits for the rotation while my back foot scoops up and out. yes i make funny faces when i wakeskate.
This one is really exaggerated since this was the first time I rode this board and it was a bit lighter than i was used too but yea. Same motion, scoop up and out with my back heel while the front foot just comes strait up waiting for the rotation.

I keep my feet spread really wide when i do FS shuvs, just practice doing a few nice ollies and 180s in the flats about 10 ft out, or reentry. Reentry seems to be easier for me and flow was nicer. But whatever you feel comfortable with.
When I do this trick I try to pop a nice big ollie and when im at my peak i kinda push forward with my back foot bout 75% and a small lil push backwards with my front foot, the remaining 25%. Try to get your front foot back to guide the shuv and catch it on the way down with your feet nice and spread like you were when u cut out to do it.
remember, there are 100's of ways to do a trick not everyones is right for you. Ive been taught different tricks and tips by different people, some work FAR better than others. Its all trial and error. Good luck! post some vids if you get a chance and we could def help you out more. |

i find that almost doing a frontside 180 helps a bit . the most important thing is to pop then dig your back foot into the water and kick it foward _________________ from the water we were born to the water some of us shall return |
