It's not companies trying to live the dream, so much as it's the people behind them who are trying to help good riders actually make a living off of wakeskating.
Neither the Graph nor those Kostons seem like they'd hold up for shizzle. I've worn the Kostons and they're extremely comforable but they didn't feel like they'd hold up to wakeskating or skateboarding for that matter. Some of those other vans in the LXVI collection look pretty sick though.
Are people still looking for super light shoes to wakeskate in? I mean i've bought/worn my share of wake-specific shoes with their mesh bodies and drainage features, but I always go back to normal skate shoes and the weight and water retaining materials are just not a big deal. I do think there are ways that shoes could be altered to better fit wakeskating but I don't think that lighter necessarily means better.
I know vans didn't make these for wakeskating and I know acesfull420 wasn't trying to say they were bound to be the best wakeskate shoes ever, but since we're talking about shoes... _________________ - Evan Molina
