i think that if you had 2 fins in the back and they centerd you over the rail you could do it.

its definately possible even on a finless board...you just have to have the right rail. if the rail is curved just the right way, you could hold the smith position all the way through.

ohh it isnt really possible on a wakeskate cause the board dont flex and there aint no trucks but i guess maybe you could do one on a single narrow bar rail but then again it would probably look like a sloppy boardslide

anyone tried crooks? i locked into one, then the fin snapped off (prob coz they were old d-up fins), and the exposed screw put a massive gash in the box i was sliding.

here is where the byerly lock fin would work awesome because if the back truck was resting on the rail, you could be grinding on the flate part of the fiin like a skateboard, but still have the front fin hanging off and to the side of the rail to help keep it locked in, i thik i am definetly gonna try those on a 2 pipe or flat rail once my byerly comes

gorath112, yeah that makes sense, there is now a second use for the lock. Very Happy nah, im not really sure it would really depend on the width of the rail and the size of the lock. I think though it would still just look like a sloppy boardslide
