WOW!!!!!
The riding in the Mutiny vid is so freakin tech, I love it!
The Theme in Obscura and WM was awesome. They were hilarious and very entertaining. Both did a great job.
I went with WM because they had a great theme, vibe, and the riding was amazing. |

Loved the tech stuff in the mutiny vid
I think it was Travis in the obscura vid who landed the the FS shifty late front shuv which is a trick I've wanted to see for a while. That was sweet.
Had to go with WM though. From the music, the fires, beer cans and everything else is was just one backwoods good time after another. Also the füćking air over the dock was huge.
Great videos from all and I can't wait to see next years. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

i'm goin with obscura.....danny's back big hippie jump was some next level shizzle......i love how they had the water running out of that gap and made it into a kicker.....that thing was so livid.
some amazing riding all around, loved every minute...hats off to all those involved.

woah. all of those videos are AWESOME. They just kept getting better. I'm torn between Obscura and WM though. Both great sense of humor. WM had crazier riding and higher energy but I loved the obscura Gold Mine, thought that was pretty creative/original. |

I'm so glad there was only three videos.
I would spend the rest of the day trying to decide between them all if there were more. _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

Just finished watching all three. WM and Mutiny by far. The Obscura one just didn't do anything for me. The theme was sick and all but the riding in the other two was just on another level. _________________ i am the bear jew |

All the videos were sick an the level of riding by all teams was ridiculous,I think mutiny was more tech, the combos they were doin Obscura had a great theme and there obsticles/riding super creative,WM had some bangers as well along with a creative theme |

Blake threw down the hammer on that closing trick.
I haven't even decided yet. Each of those videos had something super rad about them. |

all were great but i went with obscura. WM had me 2nd guessing myself tho cause i love anything rail+flip
mutiny was great but they didn't do much in the way of themes and i really just thought obscura had me at the end of the 3 videos. the hippie jumps were just too kewl but that being said i think my favorite tricks go to mutiny for teh footplantz
thanks to everyone who made the competition and videos happen. i love you all. _________________ You had me at meat tornado. -Ron Swanson

The riding in all three were great. But that is only half of the competition. The other half is coming up with something creative and unique to showcase. (ie a theme)
Mutiny had killer riding and Blake is just dirty out on the water but the theme just wasn't there.
WM and Obscura were neck and neck for me. Still deciding on that.
If I had to guess, Obscura will take the repeat win this year.
Amazing job by all three teams! |

All three teams did a great job!
Mutiny had amazing riding and very fun looking rails, but a theme was definitely lacking. I love watching Blake ride rails, he is so smooth in every shot. I was really digging the footplant/tap 180 over the rail as well, very creative.
Obscura killed it again. Fun vibes and a good theme, with a very interesting obstacle (water kicker was rad!). So cool to see that Aaron Reed still kills it, shuv front lip front big out like whaaaaa?
Water Monsters looked like they had an amazing time filming this, the theme was hilarious. Travis Belsito killed it, Diamond was flexin', and the ride in on the truck was epic. I can't tell who did the front noseblunt on the flat rail, but it looked soooooo proper, and the back body varial off the incline was insane.
Devise and Conquer had a great year Awesome job with the filming/editing Tad! |

I agree with what a lot of people said. But i did think that the entire obscura team was laying it down at the end, between the hippie jumps and all of the variations that went down on that step down rail, or whatever it's called. And didn't reed shuv into a front tail? Maybe i need to watch it again.
And blake killed it for the mutiny team. I just thought he was on another level.
The wm team had a great video also and it was cool how they included all of the wm bros. But in the end i had to go obscura again. But i think it's going to be a tough call because of everything that goes into the judging. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Thanks Marcus.
Had a blast working with all these dudes and everyone killed it. It's impossible to see how much work goes into these just by watching them. These guys only have 72 hours to build and ride.
Esnow is right, it will be a tough call. The public vote is only a small portion of the final. All the top dogs at Transworld have to vote and 50% of it is up to the photos the team came up with. (Which only TW votes on.) Theme, music selection, quality of production, quality of riding, photography... there's just so much to factor in. I can't wait to see who snags the cover! |
