|
|
So I just picked up a 2011 mod grind 40 and so far I'm not digging it. I'm used to the byerly legacy 39 and hyperlite vinyl. Not the bi level vinyl. The first thing I noticed was that it was the same length as the 39 byerly and not near as wide as either of the two I've been riding. that little bit less surface area makes my ollies seem a lil lower. It also seems way to light. Has anyone else felt this way about the mod? In retrospect I do like the way the concave feels and I like how LF pre drilled the lipstick holes throughthe top but not all the way through the base. Oh and the grind base does slide realy well. What lipstick fins out there will match up to the holes that are all ready on the board? I realy like the water monsters lock fins; will they fit? Is there a way to add sum weight to the board? _________________ Without water one cannot live.

| I would think a smaller board would be lighter. What's it weigh? Why change boards if you have one you like and are used to? |

Bamalurker, I have been riding a byerly 42 for a long time and
1: they are much heavier than any other board besides the zariel
2: Any board is going to feel way different coming off that board because of the extreme concave.
I have been riding an integrity 40 and a New Mogley 40.5 recently and they both feel way differnent. Keep riding it, you'll get use to it. If not, well thats easy, just buy a byerly. Go to your closest cable park if possible and talk to the wakeskaters, and see if they will let you try their board. Im not sure about some, but usually most are down to try a different decks. |
