I think we need to have more of these around the U.S.

Always wanted to go to one but never had the time or the funds to fly all the way across the country

We definitely need more of theses events. Convergence is so much fun, I don't know why we don't have something like this around Orlando

I am ready for this to happen.

The first part of that video is what NCC is all about- people winching and everyone else just chillin and cheering them on. The set up this time around was pretty awesome with the sloped hillside making a 'stadium seating' type of arrangement.

Thanks for posting the video, too! There's always a bunch of cameras, but not all of the footy ever makes it online.

POPTART, when spring rolls around just pick a date and get the word out. That's really all that we've ever done with NCC. The first event might not be huge but once people see pics and video they'll probably roll out for event #2 or 3.

And Scott exactly! Convergence to me is about camping, new friendships, random conversations around the fire or while the movie plays, sharing your grill or extra carne asada, the positivity and enthusiasm when someone learns something new, meeting new people whether it be a new grom, pro or legend...

That would be awesome to see other locations put this together. As Scott said it comes together pretty easy. Go for it gang. I might have to buy a plane ticket Smile

The National Convergence Series?...

Everywhere should have an event like this. This was my first one and it was hands down the best "event" I have ever been to. 100% grass roots, that's the key. No sponsors, no politics, no BS. Just a lot of people who are there because they like wakeskating and a friendly shop owner who helps to organize dates and info (Thank you Austin from Liquid Playground). I got the opportunity to ride with some shredders, including Keaton and Nick, who were both super friendly and easy going. (not to mention they make wakeskating look sooooooo good). All I had to do was sit in my chair with a cold beverage and watch it all go down. I met a bunch of riders in my area to ride with, and had a ton of fun.

POPTART- Sounds like you already did half the work. Pick a date, and converge. I'm in Chicago at least once a year. Maybe I'll come out and build a rail...
