I don't know why they don't offer the concave decks in foam or grip.

I think Dieter is coming out with his own wood concave in the near future.

southpaw, i think foam is too sticky. It makes it hard to adjust your feet. Grip tape has good grip, better board feel, and allows you to adjust your feet easier.

Why hate on ronix when they're paying people like reed hansen and dieter to ride wakeskates? Those dudes completely rip, and I know for sure that reed would not ride the board he does if he didn't like it, because it took him some time to find a board he liked once he could no longer ride the cassette bi-level.

Some of their boards might not be suitable for the "hard cores"or whatever, but a lot of high end boards are not suitable/accesible for people trying to get into wakeskating.

Hijak: Poptart, I was going to PM you. I bought the dvs x cinelli lusters in black and they are killer. you will not be disappointed in them.

I don't know why some people weigh over 200 lbs but if they want to wakeskate they are going to benefit from a bigger board

electricsnow, has a point.. ronix is in stores around the country, when i worked in a proshop one of the easiest things to sell was an obrien foam top twitch wakeksate, for $120 a family could get another "crazy" thing to do behind their boat, you know the one friend of the family will go out on the boat and rip it up, and look into it and buy an integrity, remote, etc. So im stoked that ronix makes these.

I've wondered why a skate only company (remote, WM, Integrity etc) don't offer simple flat decks, i think cassette always had this vision and kept cheap flat decks in their lineup.

- side note.. i really have no idea why Ronix makes that carver three finned board though...

SLWK, flat decks are too expensive to make and sell for ~100-120 unless you build them over seas and in large quantities. Also, flat decks only really sell in shops.

wakemitch, whats the margin on a wood flat deck? the obriens i sold seemed to do ok, but i guess those are made overseas with large quantities... . so i take it most of the "core/skate" only companies are selling the bulk of their product online?

WAKEMITCH, flat decks (which would only be the bottom layer of a NEW deck) just for a example, would not be expensive to make at all if its made out of wood like the old cassette decks were. I dont know how they sell in shop (the selling rate im talkin about) i cant speak on the profit margin but if they sell for 100 bucks they cant take more then 25-40 bucks to make if that much even.once again this is wood im talkink about and cheaper if they go bulk and in China.

SLWK, man i was chastised on here at the end of the year for saying we would only be selling our slabs on line. man how a year changes things in the industry. It's also my understanding that these Ronix decks are not new they have been made for some time and are just now getting them out.I assume they will not be in the 2013 line up. With rider's like Reed and diet's im sure they are trying to bring there wakeskate product cred up in the public's eyes
