I recently have been getting in to wakeskating and have been using my friends 41 inch Cassette (flat), I am thinking about buying one of my own. My two choices as of now are either the 40 inch cassette concave, or the byerly 107. I like the bigger size of the 107 and how it has a little bit more of a wakeboard feel. The main question is, wood or fiberglass, and foam or grip? |

alright i'll check them out, i wakboard a lot too, so i kinda want a board with a lot of edge hold, i have hear that the byerly does since it is compression molded, but the flat cassette has very little edge hold. gracias for your post. |

for a bigginer board go with the cassette or a hyperlite scape the foam is nice for learin body varials i would of had some bad cuts from learnin them but i got foam. i hate the byerly and cataylist cuz it is so thin for me. look at LF and the boards that greg said and diffinetly cassette |

can you get the Cassettes with foam? and do the cassettes have a lot of edge hold because the falt one didnt have much, it mostly relied on the fins. I rode the scape 107 and it is pretty nice for my size. what is the LF website? |

you dont need as much of a good hard edge on a wakeskate. its not like your doing raleys or anything. also if you truley use the edge of the board you should be able to edge decently hard on a flat skate. not sure about cassettes with foam but i know mutiny, lf, and butter can come with a foam top _________________ P.S.... this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated |

I demoed a byerly and I liked it, but then i b ought my 40 inch cassette concave and it is so much better, the feel of it is much smoohter, the "mini wakeboard" is just so much more slugish to me and kinda feels big and bulky, i dunno, i like the cassette much more. _________________ ow thats gonna hurt tomorrow |
