What would you do?

So got up this morning to find my radar detector and my ashtray full of change missing out of my car. I live in a gated community that has security guards that patrol at night. I called it in and was told there were 8 other calls about similar items missing out of cars on only my street. I know if it wouldn't have been kids I might be out a sound system and anything else that wasn't bolted down in my car. But I'm still pissed that they got into my car while it was parked in my driveway. So question is what would you do?
I'm gonna find them hurt them then make them or their parents give me $200 to replace my radar detector and ashtray that was taken.

you cant do anything. they will never find them. There have been kids doing this in my neighborhood for over a year now and they cant catch them. they are walking around lifting door handles and if its open they go in and take what ever is there for a quick grab. call the cops report it call insurance get your money and move on.

I would say that they also took my brand new hive winch, Nikon D3x, 70-200mm f2.8, 28-70mm f2.8, 10.5mm f2.8 lenses, and rollex. just sayin...

Volcomstone167, theres actually not too many kids in my neighborhood and i got a good idea of where to look for them. Also if I catch any kids walking my street at night from now on I'm gonna snag them and interogate them. Twisted Evil

B&E is one of the most popular criminal trends right now because people like yourself make it so easy. the best prevention is to just keep your shizzle locked and maybe hide your detector! if there is nothing to steal they wont take the chance. no neighborhood is safe btw...

yeah I normally lock my car at night don't know why I didn't last night. Whats funny is the radar detector is only $85 but the ashtray with the change in it is gonna be about $100 with shipping from the manufacturer to replace. I bet they just emptied the coins into a bag and chunked my ashtray in the lake.

i bet you wont leave it unlocked again....i cant say im any better i leave my damn keys in there too. one morning i got up and went to my truck and got in, it was parked different and there was an empty pack of newports on the floor and an empty beer can lol. i guess i shoulda learned too

no shizzle your car was robbed, id probably rob it too if it was unlocked, I know for a fact people (mostly farther down the street from the slums) come and check for unlocked cars EVERY NIGHT on my street.

My dad once got a brand new lap top stolen, but they missed his gold notre dame graduation ring. Laughing
