Does anyone have any suggestions on awesome programs to download for my mac? I just got it and the only thing downloaded was Mozilla. Going to get handbrake as well.

I'm new to Mac OSX in general so itd be cool to pimp it out

its a video format. lol i borrowed a movie from the interwebs and it was .avi and needed that program to watch it. i dont even know how often its used anymore..prolly dont need it.

Here's what I have-

VLC Player- will play pretty much any type of video. Definitely good to have in case Quicktime can't play something.

Labtick- manually control for your keyboard backlight.

MultiClutch- sets custom gestures for your multitouch trackpad.

Adium- program that ties together all of your instant messengers.

Disk Inventory X- shows what files are taking up the most space on your computer (or external HD).

Caffeine is pretty good too. Keeps your computer from going to sleep/the screen from dimming if you're watching a long video or something.

There is but it puts a handy little button next to your clock so you don't have to keep opening your settings and digging through a few windows to make the change. You just click the little coffee cup.
