ride today after work for a possible 5hrs if:

There are reported 20mph winds
It's on a lake
I'm going with strappers Mad

. :p
It's like a 2 hr drive......

Tough but knowing myself I would head out and do some wakeskating. Especially if you 5hrs worth of shredding.

Well I mean we'd be on the water for 5hrs maybe. I don't know how long I'd get but I really do need the practice.

I just know that lakes can be choppy, and with winds like that I can see it being worse

I think they are heading up there before me so hopefully they can tell me how it is before I go

I feel ya on the practicing part i'm only doing 2 hrs a week and thats not enough for me. That definitely sounds like a reasonable approach to the problem.

to be honest this is the cheapest sport I have been involved in. I bought my board for a great price, and it's only 25.00 to ride the cable. I'm comparing this to the R6 I own which is literally stealing money from my pocket. I actually consider selling it.
