YAY BEER!

My favorites are the brews I make. About to bottle a (hopefully) awesome straberry blonde that's around 8%. Will be ready just in time for summer. I made a pretty good stout and an Irish red that I've been working through now and I really like both of 'em.

My favorite that I don't make is Magic Hat #9 or Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA. Oh, and Skullsplitter if you want to get pretty toasty...

Drinking beers: Natty Light, Busch Lite, Milwaukee's Best Light, and Bud light (of course).

If anyone has gone to World of Beer you can agree with me that there are just to many AWESOME beers to name... but my all time favorite is this Apple Cider beer called Magners. Absolutely amazing.

Also I really love Dos Equis or Tecate when im eating Mexican or when im in Mexico <3

You couldn't pick a single decent beer so you just went with a cider instead? Laughing

Anyways, here's some of my favorites- Pranqster, Lagunitas IPA, Stella Artois, pretty much anything by New Belgium brewing co, and Blue Moon. Bud Light if I'm gonna be in the sun all day.

POPTART, thatwasrad, Homebrewing is awesome. I just started in January and am about 6 batches in. If it's something you want to do, make the investment in a decent kit. There are other, not as great, kits out there ("Mr Beer" comes to mind) that are just a sub-par product and don't give great results. Keep an eye out for packaged deals and sales. I got this kit but for a better price (they were having a Christmas sale at the time)

http://www.monsterbrew.com/Prod_GoldKit.cfm

It has just about everything you need to get started and do things right. The only thing you have to do is get a hold of bottles (which means just drinking lots of beer, no screw-tops) and an ingredient kit. Most ingredient kits are built for 5 gallon batches and you can find almost anything you want style-wise.

It takes about 2-3 hours to brew, wait 2-4 weeks depending on the type, then 1-2 hours to bottle (or less if you use big bottles), and another 2 weeks to let the beer carbonate itself in the bottle/let flavors settle. An OK beer can be done in about a month, a great beer can be done in about 2 months (but they tend to get better the older they get).

You can also use the same kit for wine and cider if you ever want to try that (I have my first cider going now, it's going to be pretty strong, I can't wait).

I always used to hate beer! Now I will drink blue moon (probably my favorite), spotted cow, and either a summer shandy or honey weiss by leinenkugels.

same here. to be honest i still really dont love it but i'll definitely drink it. people always differentiate between the common beers (bud, bud light etc) and i feel the only one that tastes like pure a**hole is miller and michelob. other than that i guess i dont care. if i'm out i drink either Ace Pear, Woodchuck (any kind, amber is godly), and Lone Star (because it's cheap and it's a texas beer. plus there are freaking riddles under the cap). after a few beers anyway i could drink whatever and not taste it so what's the difference.

we need a soda topic... (<3 sunkist, a&w rootbeer/cream soda, mtn dew, vainlla coke, reg. coke, cocaine (jk))
