I am wanting to get into wakeskating. I have wakeboarded for several years but really want to start skating. I am 5-10 and 175 lbs. I can't decided whether to buy the 41" or the 42". I will definately want to be trying wake to wake stuff but I will also want to learn flip tricks. Which size do you guys think will be best? Thanks

Thanks Nick. I just emailed Kit at buywake and he is hooking me up. He also recommended the 41.

just wondering... will Dave actually give us a deal at Boardstop? I'm a cheap bastard so I've always gone with the cheapest online price when I bought something, which has never been boardstop. If we can get "hooked up" though, I'd for sure support boardstop. Anyone know?

whitlecj,
I would also recommend a 41" for you.

Yes, all Wakeskating.com members get a 10% discount coupon at Boardstop. And unless you are buying older equipment, then all of the prices are advertised the same on every online shop. At least they are supposed to be according to MAP pricing in the dealer agreements. So saying that other shops are cheaper is kind of pointless unless you specify what it is you were buying. Ultimately it is up to you where you want to buy your products and the criteria that you base your purchase on.

Thanks to those of you who suggested Boardstop. We appreciate the support!

im not sure the bi level is the best board for a beginner.
i could write a five paragraph essay about why, but i'll nail it down to:

it was hard to get used to the bilevel for me having ridden a bunch of single deck boards quite a few times. i cant imagine what it would be like for a beginner.

it would most likely stunt the learning curve. im not sure, but i think it would be difficult to learn even ollies, not to mention shuvits for the first time on a bilevel.

im just making assumptions though, i dont really know for sure how a new wakeskater would do on the bilevel.

satori*, starting with a bilevel would take away that awkward transition stage though. Since it's your first skate, it would be the norm to you and should be just as easy as starting with any other deck. Some people say integrity's, because they're light, it takes some getting used to. It was my first deck ever so I didn't even notice that. In my opinion, starting with a bilevel could actually make learning on it easier than switching over later
