Some friends and I rode today and our cops who have absolutely nothing to do showed up on the shoreline with a bullhorn to tell us our music was too loud. Also if we didn't turn our music down we would get a citation because they could hear it 50 yards away on the shore...granted this is some venting but two squad cars came to tell us this.
Anyone else have trouble with cops on their lake? _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

| We get cops on our lakes about once a year! but we have a friend that does the boat patrol so she usally tells us when they are going to be on the lake, thats when we go winch somewere!! It really sucks they made u turn down the music, maybe someone old guy didnt like your music and called the cops! We usally pound our music all day long, but i mix it up and thow on something the old folks can jam too!! no complaints yet! |

well the thing that gets me is there is scarabs and even a fan boat on our lake with engines waayyyy louder than our music.
we responded by blasting some classical symphony music, how can anyone complain about that? _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

| FWC is the worst, them and their safety checks. Ive never been pulled by a city or county cop on the water though. |

cops always cruise around the river i ride but i'm pretty cool with them and made them laugh one time when they pulled me over. my registration was out but it was just me and my girl so they were cool. i got their cell numbers in case of "emergencies" on the water. I actually rode by them today and we both waved.
also today i saw a strapper land a 5 with no jacket just bare chest and it's a narrow river with lots of boats in the middle of a saturday. thought that was pretty stupid considering all the conditions around him and the cop being out, dont know if he got stopped though or not but thats just asking for it.
fastgreens, never heard of yall seeing a game warden before wheres this at? |

southpaw, we've been stopped probably 25 times, but i've never gotten a ticket. it is not illegal to ride without a vest in texas. _________________ north jones |

Our lake has a 10kt speed limit so we're constantly dodging the law.
It's just over 10 miles long and averages half a mile wide so it's not even that big but we can usually find a place to ride, especially early morning or late afternoon when there's few patrols around. |
