LeJalapeno, congrats! was it pretty difficult? my mom has suggested air traffic control to me many times, I just never thought to much about it because I would prefer my direction I'm currently headed _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

I wouldn't want to be a air traffic controller. |

personally I love air traffic control. I was nearly made for this job. I love to talk, I'm a bit cocky, and I very rarely get stressed or feel pressure. The course is hard, around 50% get washed out between the start and getting their first facility rating.
Tge air force is a great place to start for atc. Get payed for school and on the job training. Then when your enlistment its up you can sign on with a contractor and make in between 100 and 200 thousand dollars a year. I'd stay away from the faa though. Under payed and real high stress environments with a side of egomaniac coworkers.
The thing I love about it though I'd that with some of the places I'll end up working I'll be forced to make miracles happen daily or else possibly face 20 years in prison and I won't even flinch because I'm an air traffic controller and its just my job.
its a high toll job, but if you think you can handle it, don't think twice. The impossible will become plausible after about a year of training and possible after a couple years on the job.
My verdict is that if some dumb kid like me can be the best controller in the graduating class anyone can do it. Reach for the stars man! |
