So I just started trampoline boarding and I had a few questions.

1. Does it really help with your riding and how so?

2. Do you find that it helps more to uses a skateboard deck or a wakeskate?

3. Do you wear shoes or barefoot?

mergeleft3,

1. For different people, for different reasons. For me, being a skateboarder, it really helped me break the habit of timing the flick of flip tricks like i would on a skateboard. It also helped a little with handle passes and just learning to rotate certain tricks and throw your weight accordingly.

2. Skateboard decks are easier to maneuver and pop more similarly to a wakeskate on water, because you can use the kicktails to compensate for the fact that you aren't digging the tail of a board into water. So that's nice. However, it's nice to get on a skate every once in a while to get a better feel of what exactly you're going to be flicking on the water. Bigger, heavier, etc.

I was lucky enough to have a 38" bilevel top deck. So that's a really good mix of the two. It's a little bit heavier than a skate deck, and is bigger, like a wakeskate. But can still pop well on the tramp because the kicktail contours carry throughout the board.

3. I wear shoes. Because i wear shoes when i wakeskate. Some people like to do it barefoot because they feel like it gives better board control.. or something. Various reasons. You'll have to ask them for their side of that story. But try both and see what you like.

And even if nothing else, trampboarding is just so much fvcking fun Smash

I am selling my tramp...I need to grow grass so I can sell my place.
I always used a LF Impulse when I skated on it.
