re-gripping my Integ

just sold my 2010 38.65 Integrity Excelsior, and re-gripping my 39.39.
i already ripped the tape off, wondering if i should clean the surface before putting new grip on. there are very few sticky spots on the deck right now. looking for some advice on if i should cean it or not.

If there are big patches of sticky, use a hair dryer to loosen it up. If not then just put new grip on, you're good.

use some goo gone..new grip will stick soo much better.
