electricsnow, he could tell you better than me, but i'm pretty sure he took a clementine box, cut the wood and pressed it into the shape of the concave, then glued the plys on and sanded it

then he printed the graphic on paper and glued that on, then dipped the whole thing in clear sealant a few times
