Does anyone live in the dominican republic? We are coming on a trip for my friend's wedding and are looking to winch or ride. I quoted shipping my winch to the dominican republic but it was way to expensive. PM me if your on the island between June 14 and 21.

Cabarete has a wake shop and a crew with a boat. It's in the middle of town (one road) so you can't really miss it. Or just ask a local. There's a smooth river spot called La Boca that I think they ride at. Never saw a winch, but that doesn't mean they don't have one.

Not sure if you're going to be in that area though. Closest airport is Puerto Plata.

Thanks man. We are flying in to puerta plata and I don't think the resort is really far so we'll check that out. I never got to a firm quote with anyone but, from the people I talked to, it was going to be a lo more than I wanted to spend. Plus I was worried about it just getting lost. A ton of freight going to and from Haiti still. If I was coming to the us, I would just hit someone up. There are about a million here now. If you are in the Atlanta area, I have one you are welcome to borrow... can't wait to be in the Dr.
