Headache and sweat

So, I'm very aware when riding ski of one particular thing. It's always behind me and I always emphasize the caution of it back there. Well, for the first time I am no longer a clean soul, I ran over my own rope on my own ski... Rolling Eyes

There is about 50 feet of coated line up hiding behind the jail bars. The quick and easy story unfolds like this.
Nice smooth water was awaiting my gf and I for an afternoon weekday skate set when three jager bomb dudes came up in their giant i/o ski boat chatting about some chick that was suppose to come out and help them finish their beer. All three had ed hardy board shorts AND ed hardy koozies along with black backwards hats. One guy even had nip rings. Well they are wakeboarding pretty much in an oval/zig zag motion. I looked back as my gf did a nice graceful front edge catch and they are headed strait towards her(both standing up watching their buddy ride behind them). I floor it, cut in front of her and slam it in reverse so I can stop as they swamp my ski with rollers b\c they are going about 19mph. All the while I'm getting a little steamed here and loose awareness that I was in reverse and sucking up my rope. A loud clunk and the engine turns off. I had no idea what the hell had happened. Yep, most of my rope had been sucked up under the ski and cut.
Back at home, I took the metal grate off, laid on my back along with my roommate's help and started hacking with a razor blade and serrated knife. A few hours later, it was clean. No bent impeller or any major damage that I could see. Started her up and she sounded fine.
