total weight something like 220 lb (110 lb battery pack, 110 lb winch), but I can wheel around with it only use my little finger, and lift it in and out of the car myself.

19 hp (but can get up to 25 hp if more needed)

there will be 12 different speeds to chose between, from 15 mph to 23 mph.

1 mph speed increase on a 600 ft pull

driving remoted from the handle

direct break when releasing the handle

easy rewinding

12v socket for music, light, refrigerator or something...

would it be better to use dual purpose deep cycle batteries? optima blue tops to be precise? i'd get a seatek charger and you can attach the eyelets to a battery, plug it in to the wall, and charge all the banks at once.

if anyone has ever seen the tesla car, it uses lithium ion computer batteries controlled by some sort of processor. i think this would be an expensive, yet better option than car batteries. the cost of developing this would not be feasible considering the market for winches and what people are willing to pay for them, but once battery tech. gets a little better then perhaps it will get better.

haha no Im not superman, but the batteries are a seperate unit, so 110 lb is what I need to lift. (it is on the limit, but i can if I have to)

Strange that every one seems to be so intrested in weight...?
only time weight does matters, is when lifting it to the car. (110 lb)
And when walking with the winch, there is no lifting force needed because its perfectly balanced.
I rather focus on function than on weight.

mojo: I realy dont know if optima bluetop dc or yellowtop dc is the best. I know most people building music system in cars use yellow. But I think that they are pretty much the same.

About the cost of this winch...
Most people that build winches thinks that they can build the same winch as the one in the store, but for a 4th of the cost. And that is cool, (I build my to first winches in that philosophy)
But on this whinch I was thinking why dont build a much better winch than the one you can buy in the stores, but for the same money as buying a new from the store.
So I ended up with a winch that has everything I whant and it cost just little less than buying a new urban rider winch here in sweden.
I had the money so then it was just for me to pay in time.

halt, Weight matters a ton, we've had to carry our winch down creek sides that are so steep you can barely walk down it, let alone maneuver a winch in and out of the trees. We've had to carry a winch across a stream where the mud was about 3 feet deep and we were sinking with a hundred pound winch. Even with wheels, truckin' a winch to a hard to get spot can be annoying.

you right, some spots are hard to get to... Anyway I don't think 110 lb is to heavy to carry

turn up the volume so you can hear this.

oh wait, it's totally silent!!!

I'm sending everything out to the waterjet place this week for a refined model. If any one wants me to make one for them PM me and we'll work out a price. The winch weighs about 60# and the battery pack weighs 70#. I get about 18-20 900' runs with deep water starts on a full charge. It will deep water start a 220# person. My next size person up was 280# and it couldn't pull him out of the water. I've got it geared to run about 19 mph, the take offs are smooth - you can go 1mph to get rope tension and then bump it up to 19 mph with a programmable acceleration.
