| FML/all of these years in medical school. I'm sure people are going to be really happy when their doctor who used to spend 20 minutes with them now will spend less than five that is if they see them at all. Instead of being seen on time they get to chill in the waiting room for a few hours with people they would not want to be sitting next too. All the years they worked hard for their money and insurance so they can see the doctor of their choice is now down the drain. |

Keeping my fingers crossed for non of us to have some knee injuries. Things like that get bumped to the back of the line. I cant wait to waste away my seasons! _________________ 10101 |

I had two major knee injuries 6 months apart from each other. I was operated on 2 weeks later for both. This will no longer be the case. That's what's so bad. _________________ When it rains, it pours. |

We will be waiting in line behind people who have the flu and the such. We will be giving a brace and told to wait. After all the FLU is VERY serious, and blown knees can wait... . Maybe to other people, but I can take some over the counter meds for the flu, however, walking around with a brace to hold my knee together and not being able to heal right away isnt my idea of fun... _________________ 10101 |

| Classy, you keep claiming all these situations, where is your proof? mank the tank went to a free clinic for knee surgery and was in and out within 2 weeks of setting his first appointment... |

triggamike, Ask some of the Canadian guys...Injuries and illnesses that are viewed as "not as serious" will always be put on a wait. Flu, ear infections and minor things like that sadly, will be put first before knee surgerys. what country does mank the tank live in? _________________ 10101 |

triggamike, You are seriously misguided if you believe that the Healthcare system will remain the way it is now. Healthcare REFORM...remember? _________________ 10101 |

Classy, and your not? i'm showing you an example of free health care at work, all you've said is WELL IN CANADA, all i'm asking you for is proof of what your saying
granted alot of things will change, more for the better in my opinion, but until you actually see it happening why say things that you have no way of proving? |

kyle, you still have public option they can't force you to see a certain doctor, besides insurance companies now do the same thing, they won't cover certain doctors but will cover others...
your not gonna lose your private insurance plans you have now, but its retarded for a 25 year old male with no health problems to be forced to pay $250 a month when i get sick every other year and never go visit the doctor, thats what they are tryin to help change |

triggamike, The health care reform looks similar to that of the health care system in Canada. And that is the things that occur there. you might not have people like this is your area, however a huge concern here is those people with no insurance who fill the healthcare clinics daily with made up or self inflicted injury to get pain killers, for personal abuse, or a means on income. I'm not saying I want poor people to go without healthcare, however the Healthcare Reform Obama is shooting for, isnt the way to do it in my eyes. You are free to think what you want. But free healthcare clinics that are around now, do no run the way healthcare will in the future. Do you know why he got in an out in 2 weeks? Because people who have insurance are scheduling appointments with THEIR doctors. I know when I blew my knee out, everytime I went to the same doctor, MY doctor. And guess what, in the future if it happens, do you think he will be the only to work on me, doubt it. _________________ 10101 |

| Classy, i'm trying to explain to you have in from La, we have the highest insurance premiums and health care in the country because of the lack of people with insurance in the state, the clinic he went to is pretty much ran like this, unless its a life threatening injury and you can't be sent else where, they will not take you in if you have insurance..... its only for people without insurance, there is one in baton rouge and a second in new orleans, i'm sure there are more but i havn't had to worry about that since i've had health insurance since i was 18 |
