I have a 40 inch liquid force fraction sk8 at the moment, and my small boat can just get me up on it with alot of technique. once up its fine.
would swapping to a 45 inch hyperlite sk8 make it alot easier to get out of the water?
cheers |

if you can get up on your faction, then DO NOT get a 45. i cannot imagine any reason you would need a 45 inch "sk8" unless you wanted to attach bindings to it and do tantrums |

bluerocketboy as no one has given you a straight answer... Yes a bigger board will definitely help to get you out of the water easier.
If you think about it the more surface area you have under your feet the easier its gonna be _________________ Grip burn mmmmmm..... |

a little 4 meter rib, pretty crappy but works, its actually got a 40hp but pulls less than some smaller boats i've been behind, guess maybe boat is heavy. it gets me going after about 10-15 seconds of struggling. good once your up and going |

but initially the more surface area to create drag at a right angle to the boat?? |

i guess that surface area is what helps u get on the plane much quicker....its easy to get up on a full size wakeboard |

no its glass fibre, deep v bottom with a big inflatable tube all the way round it
rib=ridgid inflatable boat
they're designed for big choppy coastal conditions so not ideal, but does the job |

Sure a 45" board will get you up and going with less struggle. But once you're riding it's going to be a big board to be learning tricks on. Not saying it's going to be bad for you or anything. Just that there's more to wakeskating than how hard you struggle getting up _________________ - Evan Molina |
