Hey guys, I have 5 months before riding season.
I have been brainstorming about how to get the most out of our short season up here and would love to hear ideas about how to do this.
To take it another step, I want to take the lead on making wakeskating huge in Saskatchewan so that when I move back there (earliest would be in Oct), that there is a cool scene that eventually my little guy (8 months) can be a part of.
Years ago when I lived there and had Tractor Wakeskates, I like to believe that the foundation has bee layed. Now I want to go beyond that.
Anything that you can contribute would be awesome. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com/

wait....wait.ok i'd like to be souljah boy then
warmth is crucial. good neopreme and the trimmings is a must. maybe carrying a large thermos like waterboy has and fill it up with warm water and also a good ballast as well as some warm water to help thaw those toes. how about a propane heater that connects to a tank, how about making the entire rim trim of the boat up under the gunnels with a wrap around heat wire like for heat lamps in kitchens maybe some hand warmers in ziplock to keep those toes warm. or just a porto stove to make hot chocolate or some hot soup in between sets. how about the first ever heated handle is a drysuit better than a wtesuit for that canadian cold........u could always rig a fan with some duct work from the engine to make some heat tubes. just keep a car running nearby with the heat blasted as a lil warming hut. how about those neck wraps and stuff that you heat in the microwave, maybe just heat on the engine and maybe make one that goes from the neck all the way down to the butt. it's all about keeping that spine warm. how about those waterproof coats that are actually pfd's, my boy had a jet pilot one and it was lughit. maybe a sessionside bonfire needs to be made don't forget the dogs neopreme beanies ftw!
today was cold....air and water right around 44. 4/3 boots and gloves and the hat and i was good but i was dragon like Bruce. harder to perform with more gear on. the thing about the cold, is when it gets real cold it gets real calm, they kind of go hand in hand. and with butter abound my cup runeth over. bernie got up today hit the shuv first try. _________________ dbanana wrote:

Raven how the fvck does Bernie hit a shuv?! He must have learned from the greatest
miller I got this email
My contribution would be similar to JB's; get the right gear so that as long as the water is open, you have the option to skate! There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing/gear!
The cold season is my favorite, missed this one due to injury but you can bet I'll be ready come Spring!!! _________________ thrashdad.com |

labellethrasher, as far as gear goes, I am set.
I have a drysuit, gloves, botties, etc
My moto has always been - if there is water, I ride
I have a great wife, family and friends that are always willing to drive
Mostly it is finding people with the same dedication that are willing to put in the effort to scout, build, etc. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com/
