My son and I started wakeskating last week, we came from a sport called flowboarding but the flowrider by our house closed down, so we have taken up wakeskating (mostly at OWC cable park). This is week two, Cody has improved massively.... Most of my section is me crashing. But I pulled my first shove it today and a 360 across the rail box.

how often do you ride a week? i ride like 4 hours a week and its been 3 weeks havnt got a shuv yet.

We've ridden about 7-9 hours total (most of that was spent walking back to the start for me). Are you trying shuvs in the flats or off a box. I have not hit a shuv in the flats yet. Cody, my son hit a shuv on his first day (in the flats).

Thanks man, I watch the video of myself and I look really uncomfortable while riding but then again I am in my mid 30s and am very sore. I can't imagine what next week will bring.

My problem with them in the flats is I don't throw hard enough with my back foot, so the board is not getting around, I ride a big skate, my son rides a 39 inch board so it's a bit easier to throw it around. I will let you know when I hit my first shuv in the flats. Let me know when you get one as well.

Yeah, I hear that a lot. On the other hand I met a guy today who has a nice waverunner and his high school daughter wants nothing to do with it. I said, my son and I will drive you around. Good times!

My son was trying flat water 3 shuvs today, he did not hit any. I pulled two ollie 180s in a row followed by two 180 crashes in a row.
