I have some o'neill booties and when I bought them I was pretty uneducated in the ways of cold weather shredding. I bought thicker ones because they were on sale and I thought, my feet will be warm! but as you mentioned, you have to make sure they'll fit into your shoe. Plus it can kind of mess with the way you feel your board. Mine aren't that bad, but I'd always rather just wear shoes.
anyway, labellethrasher and gregeo have some sort of o'neill bootie as well, but they're thinner than mine. So it can be done... _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

what up B. what i do is get the 2-3 mm bootie. a mild sole is fine. the key is to remove your insole and this grants adequate and comfortable room for the booties in the shoe, while serving as a bit of an insole and a warmer for your lil piggies. _________________ dbanana wrote:

the oneill heat socks 3mm are amazing. they are warm and dont feel weird inside your shoes.
i wear a psycho 1 4/3mm and love it. the coldest i have worn it in is 45 air / 45 water, and i was very warm. some of my friends have psycho 2s 4/3mm and love them but i think the psycho 1 is more than i need for where i ride. the psychos are really flexible and are not restricting at all. and the zen zip things are so nice. |

thanks. i think i'm going to go with a psycho 1 4/3mm and some 3mm booties prolly, hopefully find some cheap ones w/o any soles. i have a top, a spring suit, and a 3/2 full suit, but the way the weather is i usually go from springsuit to full suit and i've had my 3/2mm for a decade. what'cha know about that neilpryde 5000 _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be.
