Car rental Orlando, under 21

Hey

I´m goin to O-town in two days and I´m looking for a cheap place to rent a car. The problem is that I´m 20 so the rental company takes alot for it(1000 $).. I´m going to stay for two weeks and need a car so I can get to places. Is there anyone with a car they dont use?

Any ideas?

I was just there and didnt end up hiring a car for that reason.. However im now in boca and someone told me that you can hir a Uhaul (get one of the small ones) for a week or so and its cheaper and you dont pay a premium for being under 21. Not 100% on this but worth looking into.

I dont get it.. you can get your licens at 16 but you cant rent a car until you are 21??

Uhaul had a price of 20 dollars a day and 0.59 per mile... so thats is too much if you are going to drive alot in two weeks..

Public transportation? Look up the names of the areas you will be visiting and see if you can locate some bus routes and schedules. For shorter distance travel call a cab.

I love how some people refer to it as "hiring a car" idk why but it sounds funny Laughing

im pretty sure you need to be 25 to rent a car without paying out the ass...

You could easily get a scooter for 700-1000.. Maybe even a crappy one for cheaper.

TedForslund, bro ur just gonna have to rent the car. I went down to FL in may for 2 weeks, wit 2 homies and rented a car, it came to appox $800 but it was well worth it. BTW its not 21 its under 25 u get charged that extra 300. Just make sure u hit up Key West.

Brett Leadley the brits use the term hire over rent, i used to rent out jetskis in orlando and theyd be like, can we hire a boat? lol just different strokes for different folks
