as a basic rule i have less appreciation for those who indulge so much in religion regardless of their accomplishments. all be it mostly christians, but any religion. he probably thinks santa is coming too.

Sorry to say but you are a pole smoker just for this comment. I too am not for supporting organized religion but is this dude knocking on your door to get you to change religion? Na, didn't think so, raise up off the dude's nuts.

Matt is a Christian and he is a wakeskater... Regardless of what you believe... The guy is just expressing and being himself. If you can blame a guy for talking about what he believes in, then you probably think we should be forced to all believe in the same thing rather than having a right to choose.

This was probably done as a school project for a fellow classmate. I actually filmed part of that video and Matt is such a good guy. In no way was he pushing his beliefs on anyone, but simply stating how he manages his time between his career and education. How can you say it was the wrong person to do the interview with? There are only a handful of "top pros" that are even attending college right now. At the end of the day, he's a genuine dude and he always means well. Plus he shreds on a wakeskate.

Great words, tad. Matt is one of the nicest guys ever, and that interview sheds some light on what he has on his plate. I think it's great that he's going to school while balancing the wakeskating thing! And if he has something personal like religion that he really believes in, more power to him.

He seems humble as a person. Not the yell at you and tell you that you are going to burn in hell type. His riding is precision

I met Matt at show ski nationals this year and he was the nicest guy there! We stood there and chatted for about an hour. His riding is amazing and he is a super nice guy!

Thanks Matt for being a great ambassador to our sport!

The interview was fine, and the subject of the interview had a unique story to tell. Sounds like someone was letting their crazy personal beliefs blind them from reality.

Maybe a higher power taught them these tricks (Jesus walking on water, ahahaha....), here's one from Reed Hason. This youtube page has lots of them, Emily Copeland, Shaun Murray, etc.

see, here it goes. when someone says something against christianity they get in trouble for not wanting to spread the gospel. i didn't say mr. manzari could not or should not do what he wants to do. i just CAN'T stand when people talk about spending time with god or "i'd like to thank god for this." my roommate goes to church once and a while and then if something good happens he says something along the lines of "i'm so glad i went to church. god must have put that sale there for me." however, he never blames god when something doesnt happen or something horrible happens like having to get 12 screws in his ankle. it's a two way street. i have not met, nor will i ever meet matt most likely and i didn't say he was a bad person. I just don't like what he said. his riding is good. he seems nice. but i don't want any wakeskate with a jesus fish on it in the near future. i also don't believe in the easter bunny or a talking snake. and jesus would like me better than matt anyway
