So, the new Hampson SST 2010 (Obscura) looks sick as hell. I found only one pic online, after seeing Hampson's spread in the latest Wakeboarding mag. Now, if I am looking at this pic correctly, it appears that this board may be shorter than 42, which would be awesome. Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicions?

So, wasn't the 40.5 symmetrical, not asymmetrical? _________________ forever shreddin' |

I rode the new hampson, and it felt about the same as the old one. Its weight makes the little size difference irrelevant to me, but I don't ride an sst type board so Im probably a bad critic _________________ jesus walked on water, i skate on it |

Definately considering switching to a Obscura concave. Anyone know what lengths they will be in. I'm guessing 41 Hampson and 42 Reed. |

the concaves are badass, Im not a big fan of wood boards, but I dig em. they are alot bigger( more plys) than most wood concaves, and they are pretty heavy. It responds kinda slow like a Bi-level( Idk y, thats just the impression it gave me), but it has so much pop. for example: I dont know if everyone that is reading this has been to tsr, but stefan was on the cable riding behind me and he poped a frontside 180 over the booter> not off of it, but over the sumbitch. I would also say it is very consistent....all around badass board. _________________ jesus walked on water, i skate on it |

Tom, do you skate on a symmetrical skateboard?
You'll get a more legit skateboard feel. I've been a huge fan of asymmetrical wakeskates since the first Cassette 4-track. Go out and snap that tail! _________________ _____________________________
