Mine would be way back in 1965 to be at one of Ken Kesey's Acid Test in SF and hearing the earliest incarnatin of the Grateful Dead, then known as the Warlocks. Would've been so rad to be part of a start of a revolution.Plus the lysergic would've been great also, hahaha.

feelnjstfine, good call. Not to mention all of the other bands from that scene.

For me it would be, Hendrix making his debut for America at Monterey, The Misfits (with Glenn), The Stooges (68-72), Any of the early CBGBs bands, or Sleep.

bromfutter, it tells all about Led Zeppelin, like starting from before the "Yardbirds" (I think that's what they were called), and talks about Page's interest with Satan and all that stuff.

You should definately read it.

Sam Paulson, yeah, The Yardbirds. They were sick, Clapton & Jeff Beck were also members.

Jesse, Sleep woulda been so rad to see. The Stooge's also, especially one of the joint shows they did with the MC5 at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. I'm from(or born in at least) Detroit and my uncles up there got to go to some of those shows. My pops even saw Stevie Wonder's first show up there, now that's epic.

feelnjstfine, The MC5 kicked some ass, thats why they really didn't get much love from the west coast bands, they had to play with them in Detroit cause they were the Grande house band and would get blown away.

Jesse, Exactly!
Did you know they just re-released Sleep's "Dopesmoker" with a prviously unreleased track "Sonic Titan" on it? Also, have you heard Pike and Al's pre-Sleep band Asbestodeath? Or Pike's other band Kalas? They're all kill!

Jesse, my bad, I got that version when it came out back then but thought they just put out a re-mastered version recently when in reality it was just a re-stock on http://www.allthatisheavy.com/. Check that site out of you haven't already, so good!
