good deal? 08 sst

i have a 08 sst 42 i can buy for 40 bones. The bottom deck is down to the wood basically every where and there is like about a 2inch by 1/4 in piece of wood chipped out and up by the screws on the bottom. Im thinking sanding the whole bottom smooth and filling the chipped spot and then throwing either a coat of epoxy or a thin sheet of fiber glass on the bottom so it will slide like a composite.
